Flashlights & Headlamps: frequently asked questions

Which torches can charge my phone like a power bank?

Several can. The Synerji SYRT850L, SYRT750L (2000mAh) and SYRT1100L (2600mAh) aluminium laser LED torches all have a USB output to charge a phone or other device. The SYRWL work light, with a 6000mAh battery, has a USB output too. The SYRT850L ships with an 18650 battery and shows its charge on an LCD.

Which torches have an adjustable zoom beam?

Zoom heads are on the Synerji SYRT850L, SYRT750L and SYRT1100L laser LED torches and the SYRTABS P50 LED torch, so you can adjust the beam focus. The SYRT850L also has stepless dimming. The compact aluminium SYRTALU (P50 LED, 1200mAh) has no zoom and selects high, low or strobe from a mid-body switch.

Which rechargeable headlamp should I choose?

All three Synerji headlamps use a 5W COB LED and a 1200mAh battery. The SYRHLCRE adds an XPE LED, gives 350 lumens and has a sensor for hands-free use. The SYRHLBK has a motion sensor, Bluetooth hands-free phone calls and a reflective headband. The SYRHLLB has a soft silica gel band that can be worn on the arm or leg.

Which work light suits a garage or building site?

The Synerji SYRWLSMD has a P50 head plus 180 white and 120 warm white SMD LEDs, panels that tilt 180° and rotate 270°, and two 21700 batteries totalling 10,000mAh. The SYRWL has a magnet, hook, USB output and up to 12 hours from 6000mAh. The Synerji tripod holds two floodlights, sold alone or with 2 x 20W floods.

Do these torches charge with USB-C?

Most do. The SYRT750L, SYRT1100L, SYRTALU and SYRTABS torches, all three COB headlamps, the SYRT6W keychain light and the SYRWL work light charge via USB Type-C. Listed charging times include about 1.5 hours for the SYRTALU and 3h20min for the SYRT1100L. Check each listing for battery capacity in mAh and run time.
