GLS globes are the standard household light bulb shape. This Synerji A60 range includes a standard LED GLS globe in 3000K, 4000K or 6000K, dimmable globes in ES or BC, a globe with a day/night sensor that switches on at dusk, and a 12V globe for low-voltage and solar systems.

Check the cap (ES or BC) and choose a dimmable globe only if the light is on a dimmer.

What is the difference between an ES and a BC cap?
ES is the screw-in Edison cap and BC is the push-and-twist bayonet cap. Every Synerji A60 LED GLS globe in this collection comes in both versions, so check the cap on your existing fitting and choose the matching option before ordering.

Which colour temperature should I choose for my GLS globe?
Warm white 3000K suits living rooms and bedrooms, cool white 4000K suits kitchens and bathrooms, and daylight suits garages and work areas. The 6W and day/night sensor globes come in 3000K, 4000K or 6000K, the 7.2W dimmable in 3000K, 4000K or 6500K, and the 14W dimmable and 12V globes in warm white 3000K or daylight.

Which LED GLS globes are dimmable?
The Synerji A60 Dimmable LED GLS Globes in 7.2W and 14W are dimmable; if you plan to dim one, check that your dimmer is made for LED lamps. The 9W Synerji A60 LED GLS Globe with Day/Night Sensor is non-dimmable, so do not use it on a dimmer circuit.

How does the day/night sensor globe work?
The Synerji A60 LED GLS Globe with Day/Night Sensor comes on when it gets dark and goes off in daylight. Fit it in a light that is left switched on so the sensor can do the work, which suits porches, passages and entrances. It is 9W and gives 480 lumens.

Can I use a GLS globe on a 12V or solar system?
Use the Synerji 12V LED GLS A60 Globe, which gives 800 lumens and is made for 12V lighting rather than mains. Check that your fitting is supplied at 12V before ordering. It is the same 60mm × 113mm size as a household A60 globe and comes with a BC or ES cap.
