The Synerji recessed aluminium channel sets LED strip flush into a ceiling, cabinet or shelf for a clean, continuous line of light, while diffusing the light and protecting the strip from dust and damage. The 17 x 7mm profile (24.7mm wide including the lip) comes in a 3m length with end caps and mounting clips.

A recessed profile needs a routed groove or cut-out, so it suits new joinery and bulkheads where you want the light to sit flush with the surface. Check that your strip fits inside the profile before ordering. Where cutting into the surface is not practical, see the Synerji surface-mount aluminium channel.

What is included?

The aluminium profile, end caps and mounting clips.

What groove do I need?

The profile body is 17mm wide and 7mm deep; the lip is 24.7mm overall, so the groove must suit the 17 x 7mm body and the lip covers the edges.

Is there a larger recessed size?

Synerji also makes a 20 x 10mm recessed profile (SYALUMCH05, 28mm including lip).

Does it need an electrician?

The profile itself is just a housing; the kit is to be installed by a qualified electrician, as the strip and driver are wired to mains.
