A Synerji 10A day/night switch with a NEMA photocell socket fitting that turns connected lighting on when natural light falls to about 60 lux. It is fail-safe on, so the lights default to on if the switch fails, and it has MOV surge protection.
Use it to automate street lights, floodlights, bollards and security lighting on a 230V AC supply. A time delay of about 20 seconds is built in, the switch ratio is 1:1, and it handles up to 2000W of filament load or 400W of gas lamps while drawing only about 1W.

What does it do?
It switches the lights on at about 60 lux (dusk) and off when daylight returns. A 20-second delay stops brief light changes from triggering it.
What happens if it fails?
It is fail-safe on, so the lights stay on.
How does it mount?
It plugs into a standard NEMA photocell socket, as found on street lights and floodlights.
Does it need an electrician?
Yes. It controls hard-wired lighting, so it must be installed by a qualified electrician.
